The Academy: The New England Academy of 45s was created to promote the partners' version of the card game of 45s. We are located in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, which is unfortunately away from most the action in this area. Most people that play in Massachusetts play in the Haverhill, Lawrence, and Lowell areas. Internationally, there is a large number of people that play in Nova Scotia and we've also heard of people from Ireland. Currently, we are trying to gather information on the differences in the games played in these areas as well as where this game came from. Here at the Academy we only play 4-player, partners 45s. We may play an occasional game of cut-throat if necessary but we won't admit to that.
